Tip 1 – Check for broken links

Broken links send a signal to Google (and other engines)—”Dead End!” and this affecting your page rank.  You can see on Google WebMaster guidelines that they recommend checking broken links – “Check for broken links and correct HTML.”.

Checking and eliminating broken links is an easy task when you are using WordPress. There is a great WordPress plug-in that doing this job – the Broken Link Checker. This plugin will monitor your blog looking for broken links and let you know if any are found.

Tip 2 – According to Google WebMaster guidelines you should “Offer a site map to your users with links that point to the important parts of your site.”
